"Fun" at work. Having pizza orders go in - so you can help save (someone else's) project - is never a good sign.

Here's hoping for some good news in a couple of weeks. If not...

Stayed up later than I'd planned to see Obama win the presidency. The BBC's coverage was fairly lacklustre (by the time I got it streaming a transcoded Freeview BBC1 to my N810), but made more enjoyable by hanging out on talkers and IRC.

The BBC could've done with more discussion of the incoming polling data from the various counties. And a RealVideo stream, rather than just Flash would've been handy. Ho hum.

Anyway, after it'd gone 01:40, Obama was at 138 (including Pennsylvania) vs. McCain on 49, I called it (a night). Up until a few weeks ago, I was largely ambivalent: both seemed like they'd've made good (better?) presidents - although with a slight preference for Obama. However, after the VP pick of Sarah Palin, and the increasing negativity and venom I joined most of !America in wanting an Obama victory.

Thank goodness that whackjob simpleton Palin isn't in the White House: I wouldn't've thought anyone could make Bush look lucid, coherent and (vaguely) intelligent.
